Desktop Chat - All Free Clients

There’s many free chat desktop software that you can download  such as Yahoo Instant Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Skype, ICQ, etc.. These software will allow you to have just one account. If you have multiple accounts on social networks or IM protocols and want to manage all of them into one place then you need software that support multiple account functions.  The list below is list of the most commonly used clients.
                                                                                                                                                                                                     
Google Talk
Probably one of the most widespread and most functional is Talk developed by Google. You can download desktop version or use web plygin trought Gmail. Some of features are: file transfer, email, voice call, voice mail, video call, group chat, smiles, custom skin, music status and much more.


Trillian
Trillian is one of the best multiple account chat clients available.One of the best things about Trillian is that it has versions for Mac, iPhone, Windows and a version for the web. Miranda
Another great multiple account chat client that support AIM (AOL Instant Messenger), Facebook Chat, Gadu-Gadu, IAX (Inter-Asterisk Exchange), ICQ, IRC, Jabber, MSN, Netsend, Tlen, Yahoo Messenger. Miranda’s primary goal is to be absolutely light on system resources. It’s an open source solution with a plugin system, where you can download plugins to customize and powerup your use of Miranda.
Yoono
Yoono is free social network software and chat application that allow you to connect with your social network account. Doesn’t matter if you have multiple account on facebook or twitter, All your multiple account can work simultaneously together with yoono. There’s available Yoono for desktop, Browser Add-on, and Iphone Application. Features: Share links, images, and video, Drag and Drop Features, Email Notifications (Gmail, Yahoo mail, etc..)


Pidgin
Pidgin is another classic, like Trillian, that has been around for ages and connects to all favorite networks. The fact that it’s open source means that innovative people are constantly adding to it. It supports all operating systems including Linux/Unix (and is a popular favorite for those users). Give it a shot here.
